Alliance ground power units are designed to provide quality 115/200V, three-phase, 400 Hz aircraft power, using reliable components from world-class suppliers.  Standard ratings are 60 kVA through 180 kVA at 0.8 power factor, and the units can be subjected to a 25 percent overload.

The engine is a Deutz or Cummins turbocharged in-line four or six cylinder powerplant, emissions certified to EPA Tier III.  The generator is a Marathon Electric Power brushless, synchronous unit designed for heavy-duty applications.  The standard unit is equipped with 30 foot cable sets.

An optional 28.5 Vdc power converter (transformer-rectifier) may be added to the ground power unit.  The DC power supply provides regulated DC power continuously, and has engine-starting capability sufficient to start the most difficult engines.  Twelve pulse topology is employed to provide high quality DC power for demanding applications.  Adjustable current limiting, overvoltage, overload, and thermal protection are included.

The cart has heavy duty wheels and turntable steering for easy maneuvering, and includes a steel fuel tank with capacity for eight hours of operation.
