Alliance Ground Power Units are optionally equipped with a robust 28 VDC Power Supply rated at 800 amps continuously, with peak starting current to 2000 amps.  This unit is designed to enable simultaneous operation of 400 Hz and 28 VDC power.  A phase angle controlled SCR regulator and twelve pulse rectifier provide excellent voltage regulation, extremely low ripple, and low input harmonic distortion.  The power quality exceeds military and commercial standards.

                                                       The unit protective features include overvoltage, overcurrent,  phase loss,    phase imbalance, and overtemperature.

The output voltage and current limiting can be adjusted at the operator panel.
